George is a Service Disabled Veteran and prominent businessman and Chairman of VCC. George served his country during the Vietnam Conflict and received an honorable discharge as a disabled veteran in 1971. He went into the Army in 1969 and was discharged in 1971 where he returned to civilian life and completed an MBA at the University of Pittsburgh..
George is a very involved and committed executive who has more than 39 years of business and community experience both on the local, national and international levels. He has worked in executive positions at IBM (15 years), AT&T (7 years), NET (2 years), Dun & Bradstreet (14 years) and MARTIN BROWN GROUP (3+years). He has served on numerous boards, both business and community.
Executive Vice President of Business Development and Founding Partner
Mr. Kenneth Barton has over 20 years of experience as a seasoned business development professional in the technology sector, specializing in growing new companies from concept to inception. Through his creation of formal business relationships with both domestic and International business partners, Ken has grown start-up companies to over $40 million in enterprise value while driving business development as a platform to dramatically increase shareholder appreciation. These partnerships include Symantec Corporation, USPS and international government agencies and ministries. Mr. Barton has initiated agreements with ministry level organizations forming branding and joint venture relationships around the world such as the Universal Postal Union, a U.N. organization. Mr. Barton has also secured domestic communication services contracts through multi-national corporations and Federal agencies including the GAO (General Accountability Office),the United States Postal Service (USPS), AT&T, Sprint, Qwest, Accenture and other system integrators and defense contractors. Mr. Barton has a B.S. in Economics from the University of Maryland and holds a J.D.

Derrick Ferguson was in the US ARMY from 1986-1988 as a Supply and Weapon specialist and has an honorable discharge. Military skills include inventory, logistics, purchasing, and training. Derrick also has 20+ years in customer service (5 star hospitality, hi end sales, and hard to find product sales.) As a Veteran, Derrick is a firm believer in Vets helping Vets, because, he himself was helped by his fellow Vets.

Mr. Hepburn has over nine years experience in information technology and program management. Prior to founding VCC, he worked as an information systems analyst and software engineer for a variety of private and government entities for nine years, including at American Express’ contact center. Prior to these positions, he managed an Active Duty/National Guard program for the U.S. Army. Mr. Hepburn is a Service Disabled Veteran, and received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army. Military honors and awards include Army Commendation with an Oak Cluster, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Army Reserve Components Achievement Award with a Bronze Cluster, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, National Defense Service Ribbon, North Carolina National Guard Service Award, and Combat Action Badge. Mr. Hepburn holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University.
Frances Pu, PhD is an energetic, motivated, professional with over 16 years of experience in clinical, clinical pharmacology, and nonclinical regulatory writing/management and over a dozen submissions. Therapeutic areas of expertise include oncology, cardiovascular, diabetes and metabolism, respiratory disorders, central nervous system (CNS) disorders, infectious disease, and women’s health.
